Buyer questions.
Short answers. Ask your dealer for the details that apply to your operation.
01Do I need a Part 107 certificate?
Yes. Anyone who flies an AYRE CX for business, including demonstrations and test flights, needs an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate.
02Does a spray drone need an N-number?
Spray drones 55 lb or more register with the FAA as aircraft and get an N-number.
03What is a 44807 exemption?
An FAA exemption under 49 U.S.C. 44807 that allows drones outside the standard Part 107 rules, such as spray drones of 55 lb or more, to fly commercially. It comes with operating limitations you must follow. Your dealer can point you to an aviation attorney.
04What is a Part 137 certificate?
The FAA agricultural aircraft operator certificate. You need it to apply pesticides or other agricultural products from any aircraft, drones included. If you apply pesticides for hire, you also need a state commercial applicator license in each state where you work.
05Can the AYRE CX spread as well as spray?
Yes. AYRE CX sprays and spreads. The drop-in spreader tank handles seed, fertilizer and other dry inputs.
06Where do I buy one?
Through an appointed dealer. Exedy drones are sold only through appointed dealers. Find a Dealer
