06FAQDealers

Questions dealers ask.

01Do I need a storefront?
Yes. Each dealer location needs a brick-and-mortar facility that can handle service intake, parts storage, demo coordination and customer training, with at least one service technician on staff or under contract.
02Do I need my own 44807 exemption?
Only if you fly. A dealer that flies an AYRE CX for any reason, including demos, delivery, training or post-repair test flights, needs FAA operating authority such as a 44807 exemption. A dealer that only sells and services doesn't. Part 137 and a state applicator license apply only if you apply product. Anyone on your team who flies needs a Part 107 certificate.
03How long does review take?
The Exedy dealer team reviews every application and follows up by email to set up a conversation. Before appointment, you’ll provide a certificate of good standing and W-9, resale certificates, Part 107 certificates for anyone who flies, proof of insurance, and any Part 137, 44807 or applicator credentials that apply to your operation. Approved dealers then sign the dealer agreement and start onboarding.
